      LYONS-BURKE.
In the Yarraman Roman Catholic Church on November 28 the marriage was solemnised of Mr. Alfred Lyons (eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Lyons, Yarraman) and Miss Patricia Burke (second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Burke, Yarraman). Rev. Father M'Ginley officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in white georgette made with a coatee of lace. Her veil of Brussels net was lent by Mrs. Salisbury (Brisbane). She carried a bouquet of arum lilies, which was the work of Miss G. Elver. Miss B. Burke (sister of the bride), who attended as bridesmaid, was frocked in pink silk georgette with a hat to match. She carried a bouquet of blue Canterbury bells. The bride was also attended by her little nieces, Misses Daphney and Beryl Burke, as train-bearers. They were frocked alike in cream net and lace. Mr. F. Lyons (brother of the bridegroom) was the best man. The bride's mother wore black crepe de Chine, with a hat to tone. Mrs. Lyons (mother of the bridegroom) chose mastic crepe de Chine, with a hat to match. Subse- quently 40 guests were entertained at a breakfast and an entertainment held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lyons.
